The Bartlett Adult Chorus practices on Wednesday nights at 7 p.m. at the Victory Centre at Rt. 59 and West Bartlett Road.
All ranges of voices, male and female, are needed for   four-part harmony in all types of music, including classical, popular, classical and sacred. With the help of the Chinese Fine Arts Society, this chorus will also emphasize a multicultural repertoire and performed together for the first time at the Bartlett Fine Art Fair in July 2007.

“Arts in Bartlett has had several inquiries about a chorus in the past year,” said Rita Lopienski, 1st Vice President of the local arts council. “This offers a new expressive music-focused program not previously available to the community and helps advance Arts in Bartlett’s vision of a community enriched by open participation in the arts.”

Lopienski, who has a master’s degree in music and is a registered music therapist, directs the chorus. Another Arts in Bartlett volunteer Phyllis Muhling, a piano teacher, accompanies the chorus. Mei Lin, a Bartlett resident and outreach director of the Chinese Fine Arts Society of Chicago and Lori Ho, director of the Sunshine Chorus, also participates.
