Guitar and Ukulele Lessons
Arts in Bartlett welcomes its newest music faculty member: David Hains, a Streamwood music teacher. He will be teaching on Tuesdays from 4 to 8 p.m. starting Sept. 5 

 Cello Lessons

Dorothy Deen teaches cello and can be reached at or 630 301 2579. She is a professional cellist performing with various opera and orchestral organizations including the New Philharmonic and Light Opera Works. She is artist director of the Naperville Chamber Players. She has a master's in music performance and pedagogy from Northern Illinois University. 

Violin Lessons

Gretchen Sherrell is accepting new violin and viola students. She is a performer with several area symphonies and coach with Elgin Youth Symphony Chamber Music Institute. She has a doctorate in violin performance. You can reach her at or 630-483-6879. 

Woodwind Lessons
Wayne Richards has been a professional performer, soloist, clinician, and teacher of saxophone and woodwinds in the Chicago area for more than 30 years. He will begin flute, clarinet and saxophone lessons at Arts in Bartlett in March 2016. He can be reached at or 630-215-5019. 

Piano & Voice Lessons; director of Children's and Teen Choir

Mindy Dupee teaches piano and voice. She has taught piano for more than 20 years and taught voice for 15 years.  She previously led a children's choir for a Therapeutic Day School and has sung with the Elgin Choral Union for four years. She may have a few spaces for new students this fall. As a teaching artist, Kathryn's mission is to enrich the lives of children and engage their creative minds and spirits with vibrant colorful art projects; always striving to encourage self expression, creativity, and appreciation for the arts. Kathryn has taught as a traveling teaching artist in K-12 schools and museums in Denver and Chicago. She studied Visual Arts, Elementary  Education and Multicultural Studies, while attending Olivet Nazarene, Mount Vernon Nazarene, and Regis Universities. Kathryn especially enjoys teaching multicultural art and mixed media classes to young artists. Her class offerings have a little of everything: drawing, painting, print making, design, collage, pottery, textiles and mosaics.
