Need a night out? Are you ready to get artsy? Or maybe just want to connect with other artists?

Then join us for this month's gathering,held the 3rd Tuesay of each month. On June 20, we will be finishing a two-part project in collagraphy led by Sigrid Wonsil. RSVP to Marianne farven@prodigy.net   

The Arts in Bartlett Artist’s Group is a casual group that likes to talk about art, events, exhibits, techniques, etc… don’t be shy, come have an evening out with like-minded artists.

New  Watercolor Classes by Jenny Vogt,  Arts in Bartlett, 215 S. Main St.

Introductory watercolor for adults
This is a fun introduction to watercolor with local artist, Jenny Vogt. Jenny is a graduate of the Columbus College of Art and Design She'll teach you a few of her "cheater techniques" and guide you through the process. You'll have fun creating a watercolor painting that you will be proud of. We'll be using liquid watercolors that are much easier to start with compared to tube watercolors. All supplies and inspiration will be provided. 
No experience needed!

Snacks and soft beverages will be provided, or BYOB responsibly.
Bring a friend! This is a stress-free evening of colorful discovery!

This is an informal but informative way to
learn how to sketch and draw. You will
learn about the tools, terminology, and the
building blocks of drawing. This will give you
a good start in what I hope will be your new
favorite hobby!
To get the most from this opportunity, you
are encouraged to sign up for both classes.
Supply fee includes pencils, kneaded eraser
and a sketchbook.

May/June/July "Far Away Places" 

"Faraway Places" is the three month exhibit to coincide with the  Global Arts Festival, at Bartlett Park JUne 24, 25, 11 am to 6 pm.  Artists now displaying and selling their paintings, photography and sculptures are Agnes Arnaiz, Marianne Andersen, Joanne Barsanti, Kathryn Benton, Kate Burlette, Carolyn Catalono, Bob LaBarre,  Barbara Lipkin, Larry Lopienski, Lambert Lucietto,Michelle Lusader, Maggie Mardis, Jade Morem, June Padovani, Patricia Panopoulos, Jenny Vogt, and Sigrid Wonsil.  Susan Brauer and Beck Hopkins currently have glass and jewelry; Penny Raidy, purses; and more jewelry by Marianne McKoveck, Bobbi Kinsey, Cindy Meier, Alex Bassi, Leona Ketterl and Viviana Bermudez. The gallery is open Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday 10 to 5 and Friday noon to 6 pm. This exhibit closes July 30.

Looking ahead so you can be working now on works for future exhibits: 

August/September/October: 'All Creatures Great and Small" From the mammoth to the microbe: finned, feathered, furred, floating, flying, or fantasy. All creatures and media are welcome!To be paired with a pet event for Bartlett Heritage Days, Sept. 9. 

November/December/January 2018: "Timbre: The Color of Sound" Timbre is the character or quality of a musical sound or voice as distinct from its pitch and intensity. Interpret this however you'd like! Find your inspiration in music, musicians, and musical instruments.

February, March, April 2018: "On A Grand Scale" Think big! Here's your opportunity to work large or make a big impact!
