15 years of serving the families of our community.... our family tree

As we look over our membership records, we see many who have been members nearly from the beginning in 2002. Through our events, fund raisers and festivals—and those families who have been part of Color My World Arts Academy and Dorothy Deen's Cello Studio whose kids have grown up with us, we have become like a family, sharing news -- happy and sad -- and creating art and music together. Our Arts in Bartlett family have made the saying,"It wouldn't be BARTlett without ART" a reality.

During our 15th anniversary year -- 2017 we created a graphic of our family tree. As people join or renew a beautiful origami leaf made by artists Jenny Vogt and Marianne Andersen will be added to the tree trunk on display in our gallery with the name of the member.

Have you been considering joining Arts in Bartlett?

November 1 we will begin our 2018 prices, which are $5 more than for 2017. Our rent has increased, grants are more difficult to obtain, and we have significant costs just to maintain our level of service. Just sign up below with a credit card or download the membership form here or contact artsinbartlett@sbcglobal.net or 630 372 4152 for a membership form.

Become an Arts Booster

As we close out our 15th year, it is time to make some strategic decisions. It’s too  easy to become complacent and accept  the status quo. That’s not what Arts in Bartlett is all about. We want to move ahead and step up our game with exciting initiatives in programming and events.

In 2018, Arts in Bartlett is challenged to  build back up its reserves that has been impacted by increased rent and increased competition by other nonprofits for grants and donations. I was told recently by one granting agency that it received four times its usual request for grants this year.

And, we want to be able to pay for high quality entertainers at our June Global Arts Festival and artist receptions, and bring you a variety of professional music and entertainment in our community room. Our fund for scholarships and Budding Talent Grants is low.  Here’s how you can help:

  • Make an extra donation with your dues or join at the highest level. Every donor of $18 (for 2018) or more gets an “I’m an Arts Booster” button.
  • Become a booster for Arts in Bartlett and its music and art teachers who have a home in our Arts Center. Tell your friends, relatives and neighbors; hand them our brochure and tell them how your family has benefited.
  • Become a volunteer and give some time and expertise to help us fulfill our mission.
  • See if your company has matching funds for your membership and donation.
