POV Exhibit
Arts in Bartlett is hosting a judged art exhibition – POV (Point Of View) on display from July 7 through September 30, 2026. Artists are invited to submit up to three (3) works of art per submission fee. Prize money will be awarded.

Online Submission Deadline: Friday, June 19, 2026; midnight
Notification of acceptance: Wednesday, June 24, 2026
Work must be delivered to Arts in Bartlett: Friday, July 3 at 5pm CST
Artist Reception: Friday, August 7; 7-9pm
Submission Fee: $20 Arts in Bartlett member, $30 non-member

1st Place – $300
2nd Place – $200
3rd Place – $100
Reception Choice Award – $100 prize based on live votes submitted at Exhibit Reception on August 7, 2026, from 7-9pm
Qualified local judges will determine winners. Winners to be announced at Exhibit Reception on August 7, 2026.
Submissions may include up to three (3) pieces not larger than 36” X 48”. Application fee and images of works must be received by Arts in Bartlett by Fri, June 19, midnight.

Submission Details & Deadlines:
Paid submissions will not be accepted after June 19, 2026, 5 pm CST. There is no refund for paid but not submitted work.
Artists will be notified of accepted pieces on, or before, June 24.
Accepted pieces must be delivered to Arts in Bartlett, 215 S Main St, Bartlett, IL 60103, between June 26 – July 3, 2026, during regular Gallery hours of Tues & Thurs 11am – 5pm, Fri 12-5pm, Sat 9am-2pm, or by appointment.
Post exhibit pick up must occur between Sept 27 – Oct 3, 2026, during Gallery Hours.
By submitting, artists grant Arts in Bartlett (AIB) a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display, and distribute submitted content for the purpose of electronic, social media and printed marketing and promotional purposes. AIB will not sell an artist’s work or use it in any way not related to the direct promotion of Arts in Bartlett as a nonprofit organization.
Arts in Bartlett sales commission rates apply to all works sold while on exhibit in our galleries.
Submission Guidelines:
Artwork must be your own and original, no copies
No AI artwork
Works are limited to 2D and 3D, film and performance arts are not allowed
Submission fee entitles the artist to submit up to three (3) pieces, with the understanding that NOT all submitted pieces will be accepted
Qualified local judges will determine winners. Winners will be announced at Exhibit Reception on August 7, 2026
No edits to be made to the work after submission and acceptance into the show
No refund of submission fees
Affixed label to the back of each piece must include: Sales price, artist’s name and contact info, name of the work, medium, size and year created. Artist statement is optional.
Artwork, frame, mat, and glass must be in excellent shape – not dirty or damaged
All paintings must be dry
Unframed canvas must have wrap-around treatment or painted side edges
Submissions must include an uploaded photograph of your work. Please submit to the best of your ability with a blank background and clear lighting – easier to see your work
Framing Guidelines:
Artwork must be secured into the frame with hardware (not tape) and use wire for hanging. (Saw-tooth hangers are not acceptable as they are incompatible with our hanging system.)
Flexible, picture frame wire must be attached to the back of the frame, not to the backboard of the artwork.
It is best to attach D-rings at a point between 3 inches and 1/3 of the way down from the top of the frame. String the wire across the D-rings. Wires must be taut and the wire must not be visible above the top of the frame when hung.
Twisted wire ends must be wrapped (with tape) to prevent injury.

This exhibit asks for works depicting the theme name. Drop off work by Oct 3
Local artists are welcome to join Arts in Bartlett and be a member of the Artists’ Group. Works exhibited at th Arts in Bartlett Gallery and Bartlett Village Hall 2nd Floor Gallery are subject to the terms in the ARTIST AGREEMENT, link below.
Terms include: The artist specifies sale price. All sales are subject to an Arts in Bartlett donation of 20% of sale price for members and a 35% donation for non-members. Artists are expected to volunteer in the Arts in Bartlett gallery for one shift (5-6 hours) per month during the time their artwork is on display.
