Creative Junk - Art Journaling class
Explore the possibilities with creative journaling!
Award-winning mixed media and fused glass artist, Kat Huddleston, will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating a junk journal, mixing in artistic elements while leaving plenty of space to add in your written thoughts. Gather up anything you might like to incorporate into your journal. Photos, invitations, announcements, papers, magazines pages, bags, old books, or even candy wrappers or old jewelry! You'll be provided with a blank hardcover starter journal to get you started during your first class, along with decorative papers, tapes, paint, glues, stamps, ribbon, and more! You don't have to be an artist. If you can rip paper and glue it down, you can create amazing ways to preserve your memories or explore what's possible with collaging, mark making, stamping and so much more! Whether you're just starting out or you want to take your scrapbooking to the next level, it's the perfect class for singles, doubles and all groups. And there's one rule... You will have fun!

Fused Glass Plant Stakes class
Get creative with fused glass!
Award-winning fused glass and mixed media artist, Kat Huddleston, will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating two to three 8" fused glass plant stakes. From beginning students to advanced, you'll learn how to cut and break glass, and design a colorful garden stake. Students will be given clear pieces of clear glass to work on as a canvas with instruction on how to create elements for their stakes. The elements will be glued down and then fired by the instructor. The finished pieces can be picked up a few days later at Arts in Bartlett. It's the perfect class for singles, doubles and all groups. And there's one rule... You will have fun!
